LA Times Nominates Graphic Novels

The 2012 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes are honoring the best books of 2011. The awards will be handed out on Friday, April 20, 2012, as part of the annual Festival of Books. The ceremony will be open to the public and will take place at the Bovard Auditorium on the campus of USC. For more information, check out latimes.com/festivalofbooks.

Jimmy Gownley, Moving On

All of us here at GNR are big fans of Jimmy Gownley, both in his Amelia books and in person (if you ever get a chance to see Jimmy on a panel at a comics convention or elsewhere...go; he's great). So it's sad to hear in this PW story that he's ending his Amelia Rules! series, but its awesome to learn he's putting his talents to work on something new.
