Comic-Con Panel Update
If you're attending San Diego Comic-Con in a couple weeks, please try to make time to see a panel I'll be moderating on Saturday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. in Room 8. It's entitled "Comics in the Library," and I'm thrilled with the selection of panelists. If you're at all interested or intrigued by how graphic novels can be (and are) used in today's libraries, be sure to check it out. Here's the official description:
Comics in the Library: How are comics used in libraries? This panel discusses the variety of ways that libraries around the country have begun to integrate comics into their collections and programming. Special attention is paid to the following subjects: comics for early readers; nonfiction comics, and comics for adult readers. Presented by Francisca Goldsmith (Infopeople), Merideth Jenson-Benjamin (Glendale Public Library), JoAnn Jonas (San Diego County Library), Tuan Nguyen (Texas Maverick Graphic Novel List), Jill Patterson (OC Public Libraries) and Raina Telgemeier (Smile). Moderated by John Hogan (GraphicNovelReporter). Room 8.
