If you’re attending San Diego Comic-Con in July, I hope you’ll make a plan to attend the panel “Comics in the Library” on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to noon in Room 8. I’ll be moderating this panel, and I’ll be joined by some true experts in the comics and library fields: Francisca Goldsmith (Infopeople, as well as one of my fellow judges on the Eisner Awards this year), Merideth Jenson-Benjamin (Glendale Public Library and a contributor to GNR), JoAnn Jonas (San Diego County Library), Tuan Nguyen (Texas Maverick Graphic Novel List), Jill Patterson (OC Public Libraries), and Raina Telgemeier (author of Smile). I’m really looking forward to this one—it’s a great lineup of people, all of whom are really passionate about comics. Join us if you can!
