Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Is Coming Next Week
I'm just back from a premiere of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths at the Paley Center here in New York, and I've got to say, it's a great PG-13 thriller that comics fans will love...especially you longtime fans: You'll enjoy seeing some surprising (and evil) versions of the Detroit Justice League (yes, that means Vibe), Halo and Looker from the Outsiders, and even a really bad Uncle Dudley from the Marvel family. A more detailed review will come tomorrow, but I wanted to say thanks to Warner Bros.' Gary Miereanu for hosting the event and bringing in a panel with writer Dwayne McDuffie, vocal casting director Andrea Romano, and actor James Woods, who voices Owlman. Woods revealed that he had originally been slated to voice Lex Luthor in the film when it was first planned more than six years ago. Back then, the story was envisioned as a transitionary tale that would serve as a bridge between the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated series. It was shelved, McDuffie said, because there wasn't enough time to do the story back then. But luckily it's resurfaced now. Be sure to check back for the full review, and look for Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths available on DVD, Blu-ray, and download next Tuesday, February 23.

This is a really great newsletter! It was great to read Woods' emphasis on voice acting. Such a critical element. It kills me when I can hear that there wasnt any real coaching on the voice over work for a film or tv script. Woods always rocks the gig. Thanks again for the great story.
i love charlie brown but it can actually be made better, with good coaching. dont change the animation, get better coaching for the voice actors.
great piece! thanks for sharing the story
