Both Kim Deitch (The Search for Smilin' Ed) and Megan Kelso (Artichoke Tales) will discuss their new works and then sign copies, beginning at 7 p.m. The Strand is located at 12th and Broadway in New York City. The discussion portion of the evening sounds pretty amazing. Kelso's will be a multimedia presentation called "Big and Small," which will cover how she creatively tackles the larger scale events of the world and integrates them with the deeply personal in her new work. Deitch's talk will delve into his creative process and the world he's created on the page, and how it all came to be. Both sound fascinating.
