Michael Hicks is a comic book junkie and media geek, be it Blu-ray, books, or video games. Anything that can tell a compelling story, he's into it and looking for more. He fell into the world of comic books at a young age, growing to appreciate not only their artistic merit but also their achievements as literature. Among his favorites are The Dark Knight Returns, Preacher, and Transmetropolitan. In all due likelihood, it was the combination of words and pictures serving to tell a story that informed his love of writing and photography as an adult. He earned his bachelor's degree in Journalism & Screen Studies at the University of Michigan Dearborn and now works as a freelance photojournalist and writer.
