Peter Gutierrez is a spokesperson on graphic novels for the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and a founding board member of Reading with Pictures, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the role of comics in schools. He also serves on the board of the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE). An Eisner-nominated creator, Peter has written about comics for School Library Journal, The New York Times, The ALAN Review, Scholastic, and ForeWord Reviews, where he is a contributing editor; his consulting clients include Pearson Education and Abrams Books.
