My favorite comic book character will probably always be X-Men's Gambit. I'm sorry, but when I was a kid he was the coolest mutant in my mind and I still feel the same way. As for manga, I'd have to say Sorcerer Hunter's Cinnamon. She speaks so slowly, but she moves incredibly fast.

Muhyo from "Muhyo and Roji's Bureau of supernatural investigation" by Yoshiyuki Nishi. He is a man who is shorter than most (like Ed from FMA) but is collected and witty and as the situation gets worse while trying to execute ghosts, he only gets more excited by it. This is the main reason why I choose Muhyo as my favorite, because as things get worse he just enjoys life more.

Captain America since New Deal is one of Marvels strongest characters. Since re-establishing Steve Rogers as the iconic hero only to kill him off, the scripts have gotten even stronger. Captain America has always, despite the best efforts of the writers, a costume first and person second. With Bucky, the back story is strong enough to make the man just as interesting outside of the mask.
